PDF Reports

PDF reports let you package projector specifications, photometric data, scene screenshots, and custom branding into a polished document ready for a client presentation or engineering review.

Opening the PDF Report Builder

  1. Click Export โ†’ PDF Report in the toolbar.
  2. The PDF Report Builder modal opens with a drag-and-drop content canvas.

Report Builder overview

The builder has three sections:

Section Description
Content canvas Drag and arrange report blocks (pages, screenshots, tables)
Settings panel Report title, author, paper size, dark/light mode, logo
Presets One-click presets for Standard, Technical, and Executive Summary layouts

Applying a preset

Click a preset button to instantly configure the content canvas:

Preset Contents
Standard Cover page, scene overviews (multiple views), projector inventory, photometric summary, occlusion summary, equipment list
Technical Dense data tables, minimal graphics, optimised for print or engineering PDF handoff
Executive Summary Large visuals, key metrics only, suitable for client presentations

You can modify the preset layout by adding, removing, or reordering blocks.

Report sections / blocks

Block Contents
Cover page Project name, date, author, optional logo
Scene overview Screenshot from a specific saved view or camera object
Projector inventory Name, model, position, rotation, lens settings, brightness
Photometric summary Illuminance range, average, uniformity ratio per surface
Occlusion summary Identified occlusion areas with annotated screenshots
Equipment list Full list of projectors and accessories with pricing
Custom text Free-form text block for notes or custom sections

Saved views and camera views

Before opening the PDF builder, use Save View in the viewport to capture specific angles. In the builder, screenshot blocks let you choose from:

  • Saved views โ€” named viewport snapshots you captured manually
  • Camera object views โ€” rendered from any observation or calibration camera in the scene

Logo and branding

In the Settings tab of the PDF builder:

  1. Click Upload Logo to add your company logo.
  2. The logo appears on the cover page and optionally in the header of every page.
  3. Logo images are stored in your platform asset library and persist across projects.

Dark mode / light mode

Toggle Dark Mode in the settings panel. Dark mode uses a dark background matching the Experience Designer workspace aesthetic; light mode produces a white-background document optimised for printing.

Generating the PDF

Click Generate PDF โ€” the report renders and downloads immediately as a .pdf file.

Pro tip: Position the camera to the exact viewpoint you want captured before opening the PDF export dialog. The report uses the current viewport screenshot for any unsaved views.

Availability

PDF report options may vary by account configuration. If a template or export option is unavailable, check your in-app account details.
