LED Walls
LED walls are panel-based displays that can act as projection surfaces or independent display elements in your scene. Experience Designer models LED walls with real-world pixel pitch and brightness parameters.
Adding an LED wall
- Click Add LED Wall in the toolbar or scene panel.
- Set the panel dimensions and configuration in the dialog.
- Position the LED wall in the scene.
LED wall properties
| Property | Description |
|---|---|
| Width / Height | Overall wall dimensions in metres |
| Panel width / height | Size of individual LED panels in metres |
| Pixel pitch | Distance between pixels in millimetres (e.g. 2.5 mm) |
| Brightness | Peak brightness in nits (cd/mยฒ) |
| Colour temperature | White point in Kelvin |
| Curvature | Horizontal curvature radius (0 = flat) |
| Position (X, Y, Z) | World-space position |
| Rotation | Orientation in degrees |
Resolution
The total pixel resolution of the wall is automatically calculated from the panel size and pixel pitch:
pixel count (width) = wall width (mm) รท pixel pitch (mm)
pixel count (height) = wall height (mm) รท pixel pitch (mm)
This figure is displayed in the properties panel for reference.
Using an LED wall as a projection target
When an LED wall is within a projector's frustum, photometric analysis is computed on its surface the same way as for any other screen. Illuminance values are compared against the wall's native brightness to evaluate visibility and contrast ratio.
Curvature
Positive curvature values curve the wall towards the viewer (concave). Negative values curve it away (convex). The curve is applied as a circular arc in the horizontal plane.
