Eyepoints

An eyepoint is a virtual observer marker โ€” an orange sphere placed anywhere in the 3D scene. Selecting an eyepoint renders a 360ยฐ Aitoff (Hammer) projection panorama from that exact position, letting you experience the scene as a viewer would, without leaving the browser.

Adding an eyepoint

  1. Click Add Eyepoint in the toolbar or scene panel.
  2. The eyepoint is placed at the scene origin. Reposition it to any viewing location using the 3D handles or the properties panel.

The Aitoff panorama view

When an eyepoint is selected, a panorama window appears showing a full spherical view from that position:

  • The render is a 2:1 equirectangular โ†’ Aitoff projection at 2400 ร— 1200 pixels.
  • All scene geometry โ€” screens, projectors, trusses, LED walls โ€” is visible in the panorama.
  • Projector frustums are overlaid so you can see exactly which areas are covered from the viewer's perspective.
  • A 28 px header bar shows the eyepoint name and allows you to download the panorama as a PNG.
